UNIBYTE
Privacy Policy
This page explains what data UniByte collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect the minimum needed to run licences and support. We do not sell data and we run no advertising or analytics trackers.
Draft for review. Replace the bracketed placeholders and have a lawyer check it before you start selling.
01Who is responsible
Data controller: [FILL IN: entity name, address, contact e-mail]
For any question about your data, write to the address above.
02What we collect
From Discord sign-in: your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar. We do not receive your e-mail, password or message history.
From your licence: the key, purchase and activation dates, expiry date, and a hardware fingerprint of the computer the key was first used on.
From purchases: order reference, amount, currency, and the e-mail address given to the payment provider.
From the software in game: the number of kills, headshots and matches, counted per day and tied to your key. No screenshots, no chat, no keystrokes, no file listings.
From the server: standard request logs, including IP address, used for diagnosing faults and abuse.
03Why we collect it
To issue your licence and show it in the client panel.
To stop one key from being used on many computers at once, which is what the hardware fingerprint is for.
To handle support tickets, which is why we ask for your UID.
To see how much the product is used in aggregate.
04Legal basis
Performance of a contract, for everything needed to deliver and run your licence.
Legitimate interest, for protecting licences against sharing, for fault diagnosis and for aggregate usage counts.
05How long we keep it
Account and licence records: for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only as long as needed for accounting and complaint handling.
Sign-in sessions: 30 days, or until you sign out.
Download links: they expire after 20 minutes.
Server request logs: short term, for diagnostics.
06Who else sees it
Discord, because sign-in runs through their service and notifications are sent as Discord messages.
The payment provider, which handles the transaction and gives us only the order details needed to issue a key.
The hosting provider, on whose infrastructure the service runs.
We do not sell data and we do not pass it to advertisers.
07Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Deleting your account removes your sign-in data. Licence and order records may be kept where accounting rules require it.
If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
08Cookies
We use one cookie for your sign-in session and one short-lived cookie during sign-in to protect against cross-site request forgery.
There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so there is no consent banner to click.
